Review and GIVEAWAY: Keep Your Kids Learning This Summer With Great Products From Carson-Dellosa

As a teacher I see it every Fall, those students who were doing so well working with me last year come trudging in with sleepy eyes and a look of panic on their faces and my initial assessments of them confirm that they have lost more than 2 months of academic growth over the summer!  So sad, yet many studies agree that this is the case with most kids.  Don't let your kids fall off the academic-wagon this Summer and why not make it fun with a great chance to win a FREE Summer Learning Package from Carson-Dellosa.

I was super-excited to review this gift set from Carson-Dellosa (a name I am fondly familiar with in the academic world), and what a better time than the summer before LoLo starts first grade.
On first appearance the Carson-Dellosa products I received for review had great colors, graphics, paper quality and overall kid-appeal.  My kids were ready to dig right in, but I wanted to check out the academics first and see what would appeal to me.

I loved that the Summer Bridge Activties Book contained worksheets covering:
-Reading
-Writing
-Math
-Science
-Social Studies
-Fitness
-And some great pull out flashcards

The lessons were fun, short, covered one specific skill at a time, and the kids had fun doing them!  I appreciated the ease of use with the Skills Matrix in the front of the book that had an optional lesson plan that takes you day-by-day through activities and tells you specifically which skills are covered.  The summer growth chart and the goals sheets in the front of the book are fun to help get the kids excited, and the stickers in the back are perfect to use with the incentive charts (those work wonders with my 5 year old)!

The Summer Bridge Activities Card Set is a fun quick tool to take on road trips, doctors appointments, or to his sister's dance class.  I liked that they covered a wide array of skills, and LoLo liked the jokes section (go figure-my little class clown).  The notepads and name tags are great for any teacher of Mom, and the online companion was perfect for him to work more independently on in his free time.

Overall, as a teacher and Mom I was very impressed with Carson-Dellosa's Summer Bridge Activities Summer Learning Package and am so excited that one MLME follower has a chance to win these great prizes (estimated value over $40).
