Ever had to sit down to feed your little one at a public table and found that it was so dirty you wanted to cover the entire top with napkins? And sitting on the bench! Eww. Well, after you try to scrub it down with 20 plus baby wipes (maybe that's just my OCD), I suggest you use the Summer Infant Tiny Diner Placemat. The first thing I love about this particular placemat is that it is re-usable. Unlike those plastic ones you stick to the table and then throw away afterwards. What a waste! The other features that make this item fantastic are the suction cups to hold it to the table (I found they actually worked well on most surfaces), the trough at the bottom which hangs over the edge to catch food bits, and the size (which covers a large enough space for baby's drink, sandwich, snacks, toy, etc).
I use mine everywhere we go and like that when they are done eating I could just wipe it down with a baby wipe, roll it up, tuck the roll into the trough portion, and throw it in the diaper bag. Done, clean, and best of all those nasties on the table didn't infect my children :)
